Head of Physical Infrastructure

San Francisco, CA·Full-time

We are the first AI inference neocloud, using ASIC compute to generate tokens 5--7x faster than existing GPU-based competitors. Our compute allocation is scaling fast and every rack needs a home -- power, space, cooling, and a contract that pencils. We need someone to own the physical footprint of the company.

What you'll own

  • Source the power pipeline. Build and maintain relationships with utilities, developers, brokers, and operators to keep a live inventory of MW-scale opportunities across North America.
  • Hunt down colocation opportunities before they hit the broader market -- stranded power, distressed sites, retrofit conversions, and greenfield partnerships.
  • Negotiate and close colo agreements end-to-end. Terms, pricing, PUE, uptime SLAs, expansion rights, exit -- you own the paper.
  • Own site selection and diligence: power availability and cost, fiber, latency to key metros, permitting, timeline to energization.
  • Run the vendor relationships once we're in the building -- operators, remote hands, cross-connects, expansions.
  • Report to the CEO. Meaningful equity tied to delivery of contracted MW.

What we need from you

  • You have personally sourced and closed MW-scale colocation agreements at a compute or infrastructure company -- CoreWeave, Crusoe, Lambda, Nebius, Applied Digital, a hyperscaler siting team, or a colo/data center developer running the same work.
  • You know the North American power market cold: which utilities move fast, where the queues are, who has stranded capacity, and how PPAs and interconnect timelines actually work.
  • You have a real rolodex of colo operators, developers, and brokers, and you can pick up the phone today.
  • You negotiate hard on price, PUE, term length, and expansion rights, and you know which lines matter in an MSA.
  • You move fast. First contracted MW closes in the next few months.
  • You are direct. We have no time for hedging.
  • You are comfortable being an early employee -- hands-on with everything physical infra, including the unsexy parts (site visits, punch lists, chasing utility engineers).
